Bandhavgarh is one of the most popular National Parks in India. Once upon a time, it was the hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Rewa, Bandhavgarh. And today it is a safe reserve with the highest concentration of Bengal tigers in any park. It is a place with a perfectly blended historical, wildlife, and cultural experience.

Bandhavgarh National Park is situated in the Vindhya Hills, Umaria district, Madhya Pradesh (MP). It was declared as a national park in 1968. It is spread across an area of 105 square kilometers. The National Park took its name ‘Bandhavgarh’ from the most prominent hillock in the area of Umaria.

The Bandhavgarh region is blessed with a huge variety of biodiversity. Apart from the highest density of tigers in the park, it also beholds one of the largest breeding populations of leopards and many other species of deer. The park has seen a huge increase in the number of tiger count over the past years. This is why the tiger tours are hugely famous in this park.

Bandhavgarh National Park comprises mixed vegetation that ranges from tall grasslands to thick Sal forest. Thus, it has the perfect blend of different varieties of animals and birds. Due to diverse topography, the Bandhavgarh national park offers plenty of opportunities for you to spot the magnificent Indian tiger and some of the rarely seen animal species like leopard and sloth bear. Because of all of these qualities and a rich variety of flora and fauna, it is becoming one of the most popular national parks among all the tourists who are visiting India.

Bandhavgarh National Park has three major zones called Tala, Magdi, and Bamera. The Tala zone is the most important attraction for the majority of tourists who are willing to go for tiger sighting opportunities. Nowadays, the Magdi zone is also enhanced by the park authorities for getting better opportunities to spot tigers. You may find elephant shows being organized in the Magdi zone, Bandhavgarh national park. This increases the probability of spotting the mysterious jungle king.
